A Proud Military Wife -

Linda Marie (Barnard) Sabulski, age 61, of Mechanicsburg , and formerly of Boston, MA and Dallas, PA, died at Holy Spirit Hospital on Saturday, August 2, 2014. Linda was born on Tuesday, July 14, 1953 in Boston to the late Earle R. Barnard Jr. and Margaret (Ryan) Barnard.

Linda’s survivors include her husband of almost 38 years, Charles Peter Sabulski; her children: Diane M. Wilkens of Mechanicsburg, Charles B. Sabulski and his wife, Alison, of Mechanicsburg, Eric B. Sabulski of Mechanicsburg; her grandchildren: Aileen Wilkens, Bryant Sabulski, Christian Wilkens; her mother-in-law, Nancy Sabulski of Wilkes-Barre; her sisters-in-law, Catherine Sabulski and Nancy Sabulski; brother-in-law, Peter Sabulski; and several cousins.

Linda graduated from Reading High School in Reading, MA. She was of the Catholic faith. Linda loved to travel, crochet, create ceramics, and write letters.  She attended culinary school and enjoyed cooking for her family.  Linda was a very loving woman who absolutely adored everything about being a military wife.  She was extremely supportive of the men and women serving in the United States Military.  Linda and her husband were introduced to each other through her involvement as a volunteer with the USO .  Linda’s husband, children, and grandchildren were the center of her life.

All are welcome to join Linda’s family at her Gathering of Family & Friends on Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Jendrzejewski Funeral Home , 21 North Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA. Linda’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship the Woodlands Inn & Resort , 1073 Highway 315 , Wilkes-Barre, PA, following the gathering.

The family suggests memorial contributions in Linda’s name to the USO , 2111 Wilson Boulevard, Suite 1200, Arlington, VA 22201 or www.USO.org .
