A Great Friend to Many -
Lisa Nanette Speese, age 60, of Dillsburg, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 28, 2021, after a courageous battle with small cell lung cancer. Lisa was born on Friday, June 24, 1960, in Camp Hill to Maryann Bessie (Esterline) Speese and the late Lewis Elwood Speese.
Lisa’s survivors include her longtime companion, Todd Allen Grassmyer of Dillsburg; her daughter, Lauren Yvonne McGalla and husband, James, of Fairchance; her two precious granddaughters: Paisley Shae Nailor and McKenna James McGalla; her mother, Maryann Speese of York Springs; her two brothers: Craig Allen Speese and wife, Deb, of Gardeners, John Gilbert Speese of York Springs; her sister, Louann Stacy Speese of Carlisle; and many nieces and one nephew.
Lisa recently worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue but was most known for her bartending at the former Countryside Inn, Mechanicsburg. She was a great friend to many and always saw the good in everyone.
All are welcome to join Lisa’s family at her gathering of family and friends on Saturday, March 6, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at 30 North Chestnut Street, Dillsburg, PA 17019. Cremation was private.
While Lisa’s family will not be accepting flowers, they invite those wishing to celebrate Lisa’s life with a memorial contribution to make them to the American Cancer Society - Hershey, P.O. Box 897, Hershey, PA 17033, www.cancer.org/involved/donate.
