Lloyd’s survivors include his three children: Steven Lloyd Spahr and his wife, Natalie, of Mechanicsburg, Kevin Lee Spahr and his wife, Janet, of Carlisle, Lynette Mae Spahr and her husband, Alex Gigliotti, of Franklin, TN; his three grandchildren: Jared Spahr, Travis Spahr, Ellie Spahr; his two great-grandchildren: Maren Spahr, Faye Spahr; his sister, Shirley Murphy of Mechanicsburg; and many nieces and nephews.

Lloyd graduated from Mechanicsburg High School as part of the class of 1944.  He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II.  After coming back from the war, Lloyd returned to playing football and joined a semi-pro team until a knee injury sidelined him.  Lloyd retired from Sparzel, in Highspire, after many years of service as co- owner and working as an electrician.  He was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church in Dillsburg and a former member of Bible Baptist Church in Shiremanstown, where he served as a deacon.  Lloyd loved hunting and he always did so while visiting the family farm in Potter County.  He also had an interest in stonemasonry and loved doing stonework.  Lloyd enjoyed traveling and was a huge fan of Penn State football.
