Lois Jean (Brown) Lee, age 90, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Lois was born on Sunday, August 30, 1931, in Harrisburg to the late Winslow Rutherford Brown and Gertrude (Bitner) Brown. Lois was the widow of William E. Lee, whom she married in 1993, and who died in 2014.
Lois’s survivors include her son, Barry Lee Dando and his wife, Dawn, of New Cumberland; her six step children; her two granddaughters; her two great-grandchildren; her brother Winslow R. Brown, II and his wife, Caroline, of Mechanicsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Lois graduated from John Harris High School as part of the class of 1949. She was previously employed at Bell Telephone Company, Naval Supply Depot in Mechanicsburg and was an organist at Embers Restaurant in Carlisle. Lois was a member of Unity Church of Harrisburg in Enola. In her free time, Lois enjoyed dancing, photography and creating artful images. She also reveled in sharing insightful thoughts with others and loved music, especially playing organ. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
All are welcome to join Lois’s family at her graveside service on Thursday, June 23, 2022, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Rolling Green Cemetery, 1811 Carlisle Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011; with Reverend John Shellenberger officiating.
