Loretta Carolyn (Dull) Manbeck, age 76, of Carlisle , and formerly of Lewistown , died peacefully at home on Monday, April 7, 2014. Born in Harrisburg, on Monday, June 21, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Marlin Pierce and Mary (Dull) Myers. Loretta was the wife of Donald C. Manbeck whom she married on October 20, 1965.
Loretta’s survivors include her husband of 48 years, Donald “Don” Clark Manbeck; her three daughters, Lori Manbeck Lauckner and her husband Shannon of Carlisle, Kimberly Manbeck Morgan and her fiancé Jason Brandt of Carlisle, Cindy Osbourne of Mechanicsburg; her son, Clarence “Sonny” Hyser, Jr. of Nevada; her seven grandchildren, Samantha, Dakota, Jessie, Anthony, Mandy, Timmy, and Scotty; and her numerous great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews.
Loretta always put her family first and checked on each of them every day. She loved the holidays because they brought the entire family together. A warm hearted and caring person, Loretta will be remembered as giving and understanding and a friend to everyone. She always seemed to know the “right” thing to say, even if you did not want to hear it. It might even be said that, “She would give ya hell before she would make ya laugh.” Loretta loved getting out of the house and greatly enjoyed her drives and her Wednesday hair appointment. She will be missed and remembered by her family and friends.
All are welcome to join Loretta’s family at her viewing on Friday, April 11, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:30 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant Mary Medkeff-Rose officiating. Cremation will be private with a private interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA. Honored to be urn bearers are Samantha Wert and Dakota Lauckner.
