Louise (Rhoads) Morrow, 96, of Mechanicsburg , died at The Bridges at Bent Creek in Mechanicsburg on Tuesday, February 19, 2013.  She was born in Harrisburg, on Saturday, February 10, 1917, daughter of the late Frank Norman Rhoads and Anna Esther (Paulus) Rhoads.  Louise was the widow of Charles Lester Morrow, Sr. whom she married on October 16, 1938 and who died on May 26, 1978.

Louise’s survivors include her loving sons, Robert E. Morrow and his wife Carol of Newport News, VA, Frank D. Morrow of Atlanta; grandchildren, Dianne McVey, Kristin Hyser, Tammy Nelson; great-grandchildren, Erin Sproul, Samantha Sproul, Jeffrey Morrow, Braden Hyser, Kirsty Hyser, Zev Auchey, Dakotah Nelson, Parker Nelson; great-great grandchildren, Brianna Morrow, Jaden Morrow, Jordyn Sproul, Kaleb Sproul, Aleeah Sproul; a daughter-in-law, Carole Morrow of Mechanicsburg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Among those preceding Louise in death are her son, Charles L. Morrow, Jr.; and two sisters, Grace Swartz and Lena Marie Bender.

Louise graduated from Mechanicsburg High School as part of the class of 1934.  She was a generous person who was always involved with her family.  In fact, she loved to travel and camp with her family.  Louise was extremely creative and expressed herself through her arts and crafts.  She reupholstered and refinished furniture and enjoyed doing so for her family who knew exactly who to take their treasurers to for care.  Louise loved oil painting and gardening and she enjoyed crossword puzzles, word searches, and most especially playing along with “ Wheel of Fortune ”.

All are welcome to join Louise’s family at her viewing on Monday, February 25, 2013, from 9:30 until time of service at 10:30 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with celebrant Alan Echard officiating.  Burial will follow in Rolling Green Memorial Park in Camp Hill.
