Lynn William Kennedy, 68, of Etters died at York Memorial Hospital on Friday, August 24, 2012. He was born in Mt. Pleasant, on Saturday, October 30, 1943 son of the late Elmer Kennedy and Mildred (Myers) Kennedy. Lynn was the husband of Gloria Jean Burke whom he married on August 9, 1993.
Lynn attended Northern High School . He retired from UPS in December 2003, with over 20 years of service. Lynn was a US Army Vietnam War Veteran . He loved to garden and enjoyed big dishes of tomatoes from his garden. Lynn was a very hard worker.
Lynn’s survivors include his loving wife, Gloria Jean Burke, a son John Kennedy, and three grandchildren.
All are welcome to join Lynn’s family at his Gathering of Friends and Family on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from 2:00 to 3:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Military honors will be presented by the Cumberland County Honor Guard . Cremation and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
