Margaret "Peg" Ann Fenstermacher

Margaret “Peg” Ann (Halstead) Fenstermacher, age 70, of Camp Hill died at home and surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 12, 2024. Peg was born on Sunday, December 6, 1953, in East Stroudsburg to the late LeRoy Halstead and Edna Braden Hammer. She grew up in the Poconos with her sisters, Jeanne Maiden and Jill Shukaitis. She worked and lived in Boston and Philadelphia before meeting the love of her life, John R. Fenstermacher, in 1983. He became her husband 9 months later. They were married for 26 years until his death in 2010. 

Peg is survived by her daughter, Amanda Cramer, her husband Tim Cramer, and her six grandsons, Taylor, Ethan, Garrett, Ben, Jace, and little Timmy. Her grandsons loved their Gigi. She is also survived by her niece and nephews, Lindsey Strippoli, Josh Barkauskie, and Matthew Shukaitis. 

Peg loved her family, friends, and pets. She also loved gardening, cooking, and a good book.  She was very passionate about her work and always wanted to lend an ear to those around her. She had a thoughtful and gracious nature, and will be terribly missed by those lucky enough to have met her. 

All are welcome to join Peg’s family at her celebration of life open house and gathering of family and friends on Friday, August 9 , 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a time of remembrance at 5:30 p.m. at Buhrig’s Gathering Place, 25 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, (717) 766-3421 (next to Buhrig Funeral & Cremation); Over 100 parking spaces are available; just look for the “Buhrig” parking signs in all of the parking lots. Cremation was private.

While Peg’s family will not be accepting flowers, they invite those wishing to celebrate her life with a memorial contribution to make them to any animal rescue charity of their choice.
