Marian Louise Hoffman, 80, of Carlisle and formerly of Mechanicsburg died Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Hershey Medical Center. She was born on Saturday, July 5, 1930 in Mechanicsburg the daughter of the late Jesse and Leah (Sanders) Hoffman.
Marian, also known as “the babysitter” to all her neighbors loved to care for children. She enjoyed planting flowers. She was a simple lady who was always very outspoken.
Marian is survived by two sons: John Henry Hoffman of Shermansdale, Michael Hoffman of York Haven; one daughter: Angie McClintock-Grove of Mechanicsburg; two sisters: Florence Zerphey of Ephrata, Mary Otstot of Mechanicsburg; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Elmer Hoffman and Bill Hoffman; and one sister: Pearl Rider.
