Marian Louella (Johnston) Weigel

Marian Louella (Johnston) Weigel, 87, of Mechanicsburg , and formerly of Zelienople and Palm Harbor, FL , died at Harrisburg Hospital on Friday, August 31, 2012. She was born in Zelienople, on February 7, 1925, daughter of the late Loyal Lloyd Johnston and Emma (Heberling) Johnston.  Marian was the widow of Fred Edward Weigel whom she married on July 17, 1948.

Marian graduated from Zelienople High School as part of the class of 1942. She worked as a medical secretary and was a homemaker for many years. After retirement, she and her husband moved to Palm Harbor, FL and resided there for over 25 years. Marian had recently moved to Country Meadows in Mechanicsburg.

Marian’s survivors include her loving son, Ron Weigel, and his wife Linda (Clemens) Weigel, of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Sylvia L. Johnston of Palm Harbor, FL; a son-in-law, Larry Grawburg, of Mt. Pleasant, MI; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Among those preceding Marian in death are her daughter, Beth (Weigel) Grawburg; a brother, Loyal Lloyd Johnston, Jr.; and a sister, Velma (Johnston) Capots.

Burial and cremation will be private and at the family’s convenience.
