Marie Allie (Jones) Siler, age 87, of Mechanicsburg, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, January 7, 2020.  Marie was born on Tuesday, June 21, 1932 in Wellsville to the late Harvey Penrose Jones and Zelda Marie (Myers) Jones.  Marie was the widow of Clyde “Gene” Eugene Siler, whom she married on June 15, 1956, and who died on December 6, 2002.

Marie’s survivors include her three children: Helen Marie Flynn of Walnutport, Nancy Louise Siler of Lancaster, Donald Orion Siler and his wife, Jane, of Mechanicsburg; her four grandchildren: Tiffany Murphy, Heather Siler, Sean Siler, Jennifer Siler; her two great-grandchildren: Taegan Murphy, Ciara Murphy; her three siblings: Gary Jones of Cato, NY, Tom Jones and his wife, Michelle, of Auburn, NY, Diane Seigel and her husband, Dr. Jerry, of Sepulveda, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

Marie graduated from William Penn High School as part of the class of 1950.  She retired from Blue Shield in Camp Hill, after 10 years of service working as a dental claims specialist.  For many years, Marie attended the North Street First Church of God.  She loved square dancing with her husband, Gene, and spending winters in Hollywood, FL as a snowbird for over 20 years.  Marie also enjoyed making ceramics, such as the table top light-up Christmas trees.  She was quite the fun-loving character; Marie was loved by everyone.

All are welcome to join Marie’s family at her gathering of family and friends on Saturday, January 11, 2020, from 2:30 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant George A. Spangler officiating.  Marie’s family invites everyone to join them for reception with food and fellowship at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory immediately following the service.  Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will be at the family’s convenience.  Cremation was private.
