Marjorie “Peggy” (Eichelberger) Justh
Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother -
Marjorie “Peggy” Eichelberger Justh, age 90, of Mechanicsburg, died at Messiah Village on Sunday, February 7, 2016. Peggy was born on Tuesday, December 29, 1925 in Lewisberry to the late Clyde J. Eichelberger and Mable R. (Nonemaker) Eichelberger. Peggy was the widow of Nicholas Justh, whom she married on July 1, 1943, and who died on November 26, 1996. In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was preceded in death by her sister, S. Dottie Wise and her great-granddaughter, Mia Trigili.
Peggy’s survivors include her five children: Brian W. Justh and his wife, Sandra, of Mechanicsburg, Carolyn F. Maugans and her husband, John, of Lemoyne, Reverend Dr. Darrel R. Justh and his wife, Mary, of Austin, PA, Marilyn K. Knox of Lewisberry, Carol Ann Updegraff of Bar Harbor, ME; her 13 grandchildren: Amanda Justh, Jennifer Chitwood, Mark Justh, Darrel Justh, Jr., Amy Dows, Katie Justh, Eric Maugans, Connie Bartram, Jeremy Knox, Rebecca Marshall, Sarah Bjorkman, Michael Updegraff, Josh Updegraff; her 22 great-grandchildren; her sister: Joanne Alexander; and several nieces and nephews.
Peggy graduated from New Cumberland High School as part of the class of 1943. She stayed at home to help provide for her family. Peggy was a former member of the Upper Allen Kiwanis. She loved to craft with her sister, Joanne. Together, the two would make hundreds of quilts and donate them to a local shelter. Peggy enjoyed embroidery and sewing crafts. She also loved to travel with her husband and her family.
To honor Peggy’s wishes, all services are private.
The family sends their most heartfelt thanks to everyone at Messiah Village and Hospice of Central Pennsylvania who so lovingly cared for Peggy.
