Martha "Pud" Winifred (Beamer) Ludwig, 86, of Mechanicsburg , died at Golden Living Center in Camp Hill with her family at her side on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. She was born in Huntingdon Township, on Wednesday, June 30, 1926, daughter of the late Mervin A. Beamer and Lula G. (Miller) Beamer. Martha was married to the late William H. Morrison who died in the 1940s and she was the widow of Merle Kenneth Ludwig, Sr. whom she married on May 24, 1947, and who died on January 2, 1995.
Martha had a way of making people laugh and she was known as a “fun” person. She was a real spitfire who knew how to turn a colorful phrase. Her generosity and caring for others was unending. Martha’s life was her family and she will be deeply missed.
Martha’s survivors include her loving son, Merle Kenneth Ludwig, Jr. and his wife Sandy of Mechanicsburg; her daughter-in-law, Dee Morrison widow of the late Gary L. Morrison of Mechanicsburg; her step-son, William Morrison and his wife Vonda of Chambersburg; her grandson, Merle K. Ludwig, III and his wife Cindy and their daughter Cheyenne; her granddaughter, Tonya M. Zullinger and her husband Chad and their children Dillon and Lexi; her step-granddaughter, Heather Barrick and her sons Michael, Tyler and Adin of Fayetteville; her two brothers, Glen Beamer of Fairfield, Carl Beamer of California; and several nieces and nephews. Among those preceding Martha in death are her three sisters, Mildred Penrow, Ruth Frank, Gladys Anderson; and her three brothers, Bob, Raymond and Richard Beamer.
All are welcome to join Martha’s family at her visitation on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, from 1:00 until time of service at 2:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Celebrant Alan Echard officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery . Honored to be urn bearers are: Merle Ludwig III, Dillon Zullinger and Lexi Zullinger. Cremation was private. Martha’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at West Main Family Restaurant , 710 West Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, following the burial.
