Mary Terese (Linden) Gover, age 52, of Etters, and formerly of Fairfax, Virginia, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018.  Mary was born on Tuesday, September 20, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio, to Ronald F. Linden and Barbara (Martin) Linden.

Mary’s survivors include her loving husband, Steven “Steve” Douglas Gover; her daughter, Amanda Rekenthaler of Alexandria, VA; her son, Jacob Rekenthaler of Clifton, VA; her two step-daughters: Jessica Gover and Nicole Gover; her parents: Ronald F. Linden and Barbara (Martin) Linden of Bluffton, SC; her two siblings: Deborah “Debbie” Kindler and her husband, Dean, of Kalamazoo, MI, and R. Jeffrey “Jeff” Linden and his wife, Elizabeth, of Greenville, SC; and her beloved Malshi dog, Sammy.  Mary was also a well beloved aunt, niece and cousin to many.

Mary graduated from Herndon High School as part of the class of 1983 and from VA Tech.  Mary had a passion for life and a gift for writing, with family, coworkers, and strangers alike, expressing and admiration for her eloquence.  She filled her home with love and compassion, spreading inspiration at every turn.  Each day featured a new culinary creation, as she put her heart and soul into everything she cooked.  Above all she cared for her beloved dog, Sammy.  The two enjoyed long naps in the afternoon, sharing popsicles and playtime, which will be missed by Sammy and family alike.

All are welcome to join Mary’s family at her Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew Chapel, 220 Pinckney Colony Road, Bluffton, SC 29910; with The Reverend Monsignor Ronald R. Cellini celebrating.

Interment will follow in Saint Gregory the Great Resurrection Garden in Bluffton, SC.  Cremation was private.
