Mary J. (Yinger) Hertzler
Mary J. (Yinger) Hertzler, age 83, of Camp Hill, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022. Mary was born on Monday, September 26, 1938, in Mechanicsburg to the late Wayne Yinger and Jean (Markle) Yinger. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her son, Kenneth “Cork” Hertzler and her sister, Cindy Ennis.
Mary’s survivors include her son, Wayne “Tuck” Hertzler and his wife, Kathy, of Massachusetts; her four grandchildren: Brad Hertzler and his wife, Kara, of Rhode Island; Barry Hertzler and his wife, Sarah, of Connecticut; Kady Luke and her husband, Jeremy, of North Carolina; Conner Hertzler of Mechanicsburg; her six great-grandchildren; her sister, Marty Wood and her husband, Gerald, of Dallastown; and several nieces and nephews.
Mary was a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School. She was a homemaker for most of her adult life and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in New Kingstown. In her spare time, Mary liked to knit, crochet and cook; she was a fantastic cook. She also loved to sit outdoors to take in, and enjoy, nature. Above all else, Mary loved and cherished her family. She will be deeply missed.
All are welcome to join Mary’s family at her gathering of family and friends with food and fellowship on Monday, July 11, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Buhrig’s Gathering Place, 25 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, (717) 766-3421 (next to Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory); Over 100 parking spaces are available; just look for the “Buhrig” parking signs in all of the parking lots. A graveside service and interment will follow the gathering in Trindle Spring Cemetery in Mechanicsburg. Cremation was private.
