Matthew Harry Leppin, age 84, of Camp Hill , died at Golden Living – Camp Hill on Sunday, September 28, 2014.  Matthew was born on Wednesday, October 30, 1929 in Blue Island, IL to the late Matthew Leppin and Dorothy (Saurbeer) Leppin.  Matthew was the widower of Barbara Louise (Bax) Leppin, whom he married on October 20, 1956, and who died on March 31, 1994.  In addition to his parents and wife, Matthew is preceded in death by his siblings, Dorothy Gurgle and Robert Leppin.

Matthew’s survivors include his loving daughter Donna Marie Leppin of Camp Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

Matthew graduated from Blue Island Community High School as part of the class of 1947 and Valparaiso University with both a bachelor’s and a law degree.  He retired from Ohio Casualty Insurance Company in Harrisburg, with over 30 years of service working as a manager of the claims department.  Matthew was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.  He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Camp Hill, as well as a volunteer with Harrisburg Hospital and Hospice of Central Pennsylvania.  Matthew was a diehard Cubs fan.

All are welcome to join Matthew’s family at his viewing on Friday, October 3, 2014, from 1:30 p.m. until time of service at 2:30 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Pastor Evan Houck officiating.  Burial will follow in Rolling Green Memorial Park in Camp Hill.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania , 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
