Maude Louise (Still) Clausi, age 90, of Carlisle , and formerly of Lewisberry , died at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home on Thursday, August 27, 2015. Maude was born on Sunday, March 15, 1925 in Harrisburg, PA to the late Samuel Still and Mary Ella (McCahan) Still. Maude was the widow of Thomas Michael Clausi, whom she married on August 31, 1942, and who died on August 11, 2009. In addition to her parents and husband, Maude is preceded in death by her three sisters and two brothers.
Maude’s survivors include her four children: Thomas “Mick” Clausi and his wife, Denita, of Virginia, Mary Lou Davis of Carlisle, Gary Clausi and his wife, Penny, of Lewisberry, Cherie Avis and her husband, Charles, of Enola; her 12 grandchildren; her 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Maude loved Jesus and spent her life praying for and encouraging others in the Lord. She was generous with her love and affection, and Maude cherished spending time with her family. Her favorite pastimes included gardening and creating photo albums. Maude is now with her Father in heaven, and her family and friends have been blessed by her life.
All are welcome to join Maude’s family at her gathering of family and friends on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Fairview Bethel Church of God , 800 Old Forge Road, New Cumberland, PA 17070; with Reverend Gene Hockenberry officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Bethel Church of God Cemetery in New Cumberland. Maude’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at her church following the burial.
