Maxine Jean (Swartz) Windemaker, age 90, of Carlisle, went home on Saturday, December 26, 2020.  Maxine was born on Wednesday, July 2, 1930, in Carlisle, PA to the late Clarence M. Swartz and Esther Swartz.  Maxine was the widow of Credie Foster Windemaker, Jr., who died on November 25, 2016.  In addition to her parents and husband, Maxine is preceded in death by her two sons:  Credie “Butch” F. Windemaker III and Larry Windemaker; and her sister, Joan.

Maxine’s survivors include her daughter, Beverly D. Hull of Dillsburg; her numerous grandchildren, including: Shawnee Phillips and husband Russell of Carlisle, Credie Foster Windemaker IV, Corey Hull, Shelley Powers, Tina Goff, Leigh Wertz; her many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Maxine graduated from Cumberland Valley High School.  She retired from AMP, Inc. after many years of service working as a supervisor.  Maxine was a spitfire who loved her leopard print.  She traveled the world, and one of her favorite places to visit was Atlantic City for its casinos.  Her family will miss Maxine dearly.

All are welcome to join Maxine’s family at her in-person viewing on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.  Maxine’s family will be celebrating her life with a private service at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory and private burial in Centerville Memorial Park in Newville, Pennsylvania.
