Moo Kyung Moats
Moo Kyung Moats, 83, of Mechanicsburg and formerly of Seoul, South Korea died Friday, May 13, 2011 at Holy Spirit Hospital. She was born on Thursday, February 23, 1928 in Seoul, South Korea where, in 1956, she met Benjamin Franklin Moats who was a US Army soldier attached to the 8
th
Army. They were married on May 14, 1957.
Moo enjoyed cooking, especially oriental food.
She loved receiving visitors and visiting with others. Moo studied medicine during her 20 years of formal education. She transitioned from her studies to her family becoming and remaining a full-time homemaker. She was devoted to her family.
Moo is survived by her loving husband of 54 years: Benjamin Franklin Moats; two daughters: Susan C. Danley of Harrisburg, Sharon L. Sattazahn of Fredricksburg; two sons: David E. Moats of Harrisburg, Rich F. Moats of Mechanicsburg; one half-brother: Chung Shik Shin of Closter, NJ and three grandchildren.
