Nazareth “Naz” Anthony Pantaloni, Jr., age 78, of Mechanicsburg died at The Bridges at Bent Creek on Monday, April 18, 2016. Naz was born on Saturday, June 26, 1937, in Mocanaqua, PA to the late Nazareth Anthony Pantaloni, Sr. and Theresa (Capece) Pantaloni. Naz was the widower of Donna Lynn (Yetter) Pantaloni, whom he married on January 20, 1990, and who died on August 12, 2014. In addition to his parents and wife, Naz is preceded in death by his two brothers, John and Angelo Pantaloni; and his sister, Madelyn Simone.
Naz’s survivors include his four sons: Nazareth A. Pantaloni III of Indiana, Nathan C. Pantaloni of Camp Hill, PA, Gerald L. Hocker, Jr. of Hummelstown, PA, Nicholas E. Pantaloni of Montana; his six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Naz proudly served in the United States Army. He was a hardworking and proud truck driver; and over the years, Naz drove for Moore’s, Nelson’s Express, and Food Rite. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg. Naz was a member of the VFW, Legion, Mechanicsburg Club, and Fireman’s Club in Harrisburg. He loved camping in his RV and attending NASCAR races. Naz even worked on Bruce Larson’s pit crew in the early years. He loved to ride on his 1976 Kawasaki, which was the last and fastest bike he owned. Naz loved people and his family was most important. He had the heart and gentleness of a child, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
All are welcome to join Naz’s family at his gathering of family and friends on Saturday, April 30, 2016, from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Reverend Jeffrey L. Warner officiating. Naz’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at The Stage and Studio Café, next door to the funeral home, following the service.
Everyone is welcome to join Naz’s family on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at his gathering of family and friends from 11:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 150 Main Street, Mocanaqua, PA 18655; with Reverend Louis T. Kaminski celebrating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. The family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at the church following the interment. Cremation was private.
