Nghia Trung Le
A Caring, Kind, & Sweet Man -
Nghia Trung Le, age 61, of Mechanicsburg, went Home to be with his Lord peacefully with his loving family by his side at home on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, after a long battle with ALS. Nghia was born on Saturday, December 24, 1955 in Vietnam to the late Le Van Hien and (Tran) Thi Kim. In addition to his parents, Nghia is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jennifer Kim Le; and several of his siblings.
Nghia’s survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Peggy Sue (Yohn) Le; his two children: Shawna Estep and her husband, Calvin, of Dover, Michael Le of Philadelphia; his two grandsons: Austin Estep, Brandon Estep; his faithful canine companion, Toby; his two brothers; his three sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
He worked at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill for 36 years as an AV technician. Nghia was a member of Saint Katharine Drexel Church in Mechanicsburg since 1991. He was a member of the Harrisburg Hunters and Anglers Association. Nghia loved photography and taking pictures. His family remembers how he would often photograph every family event they had. Nghia also enjoyed pistol shooting, riding motorcycles, and doing different things on his computer. He was very organized and particular about how things should be which was evident in the way that he saved money. Nghia liked traveling with his family and going to the beach, particularly to Ocean City in Maryland and New Jersey. He loved to teach and was an excellent role model. Family was very important to Nghia and he loved spending time with his grandsons. His family and friends remember fondly how much of caring, sweet, and kind man he was; he will be missed dearly.
All are welcome to join Nghia’s family at his viewing on Monday, May 1, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until the recitation of the Rosary at 8:00 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Reverend Kenneth G. Smith reciting; and for his Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Saint Katharine Drexel Church, 1 Peter Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050; with Reverend Kenneth G. Smith celebrating. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Mechanicsburg. Honored to be urn bearers are Brandon Estep, Austin Estep, Calvin Estep, Michael Le, Shawna Estep, and Peggy Le. Cremation was private. Nghia’s family invites everyone to join them for a Dutch treat style lunch at Hoss’s Steak & Sea House, 61 Gettysburg Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, following the burial.
