Pastor Tracy A. Conner
Faithful Servant of God -
Pastor Tracy A. Conner, age 61, of Mechanicsburg unexpectedly went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Tracy was born on Wednesday, June 8, 1960, in Fort Bragg, NC to Judith May (Shaub) Neuman and the late Donald Aurand Conner. In addition to his father, Tracy is preceded in death by his stepfather, George Neuman; his brother, Troy E. Conner; and his nephew, Tony “T.J.” Hartlaub, Jr.
Tracy’s survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Susan “Suzi” (Boyer) Conner; his two daughters: Sarah McNeil and her husband, Ryan, of Mechanicsburg; Maggie Weikel and her husband, Cody, of Mechanicsburg; his three grandchildren: Noah, Jaxen and Ashlynn; his sister, Tara Helf of York; and many loved cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Tracy was a loving, caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. Family was important to him and he was a great dad to his daughters. Of course, as a servant of the Lord the girls shared their Dad over the years as Pastor Tracy ministered to many who saw him as a father figure in their lives. Tracy has served as Pastor at the Mechanicsburg First Church of God for the past seven years. For the past 18 years, he has served as the Junior Camp Director and as a member of the Board of Directors at Camp Pinnacle in Carlisle. Tracy previously pastored at Intervarsity Christian Fellowship at York College of Pennsylvania; as Youth Leader at Eagle Christian Ministries for 3 years; and was the Chairperson for the Church Health Commission for the Eastern Regional Conference of the Church of God. Pastor Tracy was always there for those who needed spiritual guidance which was evidenced by the small vial of anointing oil that he always carried in his pocket. On January 11th, Tracy finally got to hear the words that he always longed to hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant”.
All are welcome to join Tracy’s family at his viewing on Friday, January 21, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with his funeral service beginning at 1:15 p.m. all at the First Church of God Community Center, 201 East Green Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Pastor Steve Gibb and Pastor David Williams officiating.
