Patricia Ann (Magill) Knipe, 80, of Mechanicsburg , died at Holy Spirit Hospital on Wednesday, October 30, 2013. She was born in Harrisburg, on Sunday, November 27, 1932, daughter of the late Leon Magill and Margaret (Brackbill) Magill. Patricia was the widow of Jack Russell Knipe Sr. whom she married on March 8, 1952 and who died on December 10, 2004.
Patricia’s survivors include her son, Kevin L. Knipe and his wife Ronna of Marysville; her five grandchildren, Kyra M. Noll and her husband Rick of Carlisle, Jack R. Knipe III of Mechanicsburg, Erin M. Brown and her husband Nathan of Marysville, Clinton K. Knipe and his wife Sarah of Marysville, Ryan M. Knipe of Marysville; her six great-grandchildren, Brianna, Kevin, Braydon, Alyssa, Colby, and Peyton; her daughter-in-law Patricia L. Knipe; her two brothers, Richard Magill and his wife Pat of Harrisburg, Charles Magill and his wife Rosie of FL; her sister Wilma Burns of LA; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Patricia in death is her son, Jack R. Knipe, Jr.
Patricia graduated from William Penn High School as part of the class of 1950. She retired from the Vartan Group in Harrisburg, with over 20 years of service working as an accountant. Patricia was formerly employed at Bell Telephone and Hall’s Accounting , both in Harrisburg. She was a member of Harrisburg First Assembly of God Church . Patricia was a loving, selfless, faithful woman who loved to have fun and spend time with her family.
All are welcome to join Patricia’s family at her viewing on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, from 10:00 until time of service at 11:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Pastor Terry Lamer officiating. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery in Mechanicsburg. Patricia’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at her church following the burial. The family suggests memorial contributions to Harrisburg First Assembly of God , 4100 North Progress Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
