Lived for Her Family -

Patricia “Pat” Ann (Bull) Parvin, age 84, of Mechanicsburg , died at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home on Friday, October 2, 2015.  Pat was born on Thursday, March 5, 1931 in Camden, NJ to the late Ralph P. Bull and Florentine S. (Bach) Bull.  Pat was the widow of Warner Leslie Parvin, Jr., whom she married on February 24, 1953, and who died on November 5, 2007.

Pat’s survivors include her three sons: James “Jim” W. Parvin and his wife, Brigitte, and their children: Tristan, Caroline, and Sebastian, all of Enola, Guy Jeffrey “Jeff” Parvin and his wife, Lisa, and their children: Christopher, Michael, and Timothy, all of Mechanicsburg, and John Parvin and his wife, Deb, and their daughter: Brook, of Harrisburg.

Pat was a long-time member of St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg, where she was devoted to teaching Sunday School for over 30 years. Pat was a positive and graceful person, who only wanted to be a mother and adored her grandchildren.  She and her husband had a great mutual respect, love and affection.  Her family remembers Pat’s fantastic cooking, how she always made wonderful surprises and ensured there was “always a potato in the pot.”  Pat lived for holidays with her family, decorating the entire house using various themes.  Pat wanted things to be special for everyone else, and her caring and nurturing nature will be greatly missed.

Pat’s family will be remembering her life privately.  Cremation was private.

Pat’s family has entrusted her care to Myers – Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory in Mechanicsburg, (717) 766-3421.  Read Pat’s full obituary, view her memorial video and portrait, and sign her official guest book at www.Myers-Buhrig.com .
