Patricia “Pat” Claire (Hoke) Lutz, age 88, of Middletown died on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Pat was born on Wednesday, June 12, 1935 in Harrisburg to the late Elmer Hoke and Isabel (Alexander) Hoke. In addition to her parents, Pat is preceded in death by her husband William J. Lutz, her sister, Marjorie Lippert, and her daughter Kathleen Marie (Walton) Havran.
Pat’s survivors include her sister, Ann Nelson of Harrisburg, her daughter, Carol Michele Oliveira and her significant other, Eric Hoffman, of Harrisburg, her four grandchildren; Caitlin Nicole McLaughlin and her husband, Kyle, Shane Michael Oliveira and his significant other, Paris Winston, Jaden Isiah Figueroa, and Marc Silverstein, as well as her three great-grandchildren, her two great great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Pat attended Lower Paxton High School. She retired from Amp, Incorporated in Harrisburg after 28 years of service as a Secretary. She was a lifelong member of Penbrook United Methodist Church where, as children, she and her sisters would sing together. In her final two years, Pat resided at the Middletown Home where she enjoyed the numerous activities offered there. However, her favorite pastime was spending time with her family.
All are welcome to join Pat’s family at her celebration of life open house and gathering of family and friends on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a time of remembrance at 2:30 p.m. at Buhrig’s Gathering Place, 25 East Main street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, (717) 766-3421 (next to Buhrig Funeral & Cremation); with Pastor Jim Smith officiating. Over 100 parking spaces are available, just look for the “Buhrig” parking signs in all of the parking lots.
