Paul A. Bucher, age 91, of Lemoyne, was embraced by Jesus at Holy Spirit Hospital on Saturday, February 13, 2016. Paul was born on Thursday, August 7, 1924, in Silver Spring Township to the late Guy Bucher and Agnes (Eckert) Bucher. Paul was the widower of Betty L. (Shore) Bucher, who died on June 22, 2011. In addition to his parents and wife, Paul is preceded in death by his daughter, Jean March; his great-grandchild, Christopher Seiff; and his siblings: Walter Bucher, Mary Warner, and Evelyn Zrncic.
Paul’s survivors include his two children: Ronald “Ron” Winters and his wife, Jane, of Mt. Wolf, PA, Susan Marino and her husband, Vincent, of Ellijay, GA; his two grandchildren: Yvonne Hundertmark, David Seiff; his three great-grandchildren: Paul Hundertmark, Aaron Hundertmark, Brandon Seiff; his great-great-granddaughter: Aubrey Seiff; his brother, Lloyd Bucher of Mechanicsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Paul served in the United States Army as an engineer during World War II. He faithfully attended First Church of God in Mechanicsburg. Paul enjoyed doing carpentry work as a hobby, and as a Jack-of-all-trades, he made furniture and helped to remodel homes.
All are welcome to join Paul’s family at his viewing on Thursday, February 18, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Reverend Tracy A. Conner officiating. Paul’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at The Stage and Studio Café, next door to Myers-Buhrig, immediately following the service. Private burial will be at Longsdorf Cemetery in New Kingstown.
