Paula Kay (Garrett) Webb
“Mom” to Everyone -
Paula Kay (Garrett) Webb, age 74, of Mechanicsburg , died at West Shore Hospital on Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Paula was born on Saturday, May 18, 1940 in Kansas City to the late Durland “Buzz” Garrett and Victoria (Mason) Garrett. Paula was the widow of Donald “Don” Keith Webb, whom she married on April 15, 1961, and who died on July 7, 2014.
Paula’s survivors include her five children: D. Keith Webb and his wife, Karen, of York Springs, Edward E. Webb and his wife, Stephanie, of Shippensburg, Victoria L. Smith and her husband, Robert, of Mechanicsburg, Matti A. Berkheimer and her companion, Rob, of York, Ami K. Crouse and her husband, Edward, of Shermans Dale; her 22 grandchildren: Zachary, Courtney, Shanna, Justin, Jarrett, Justin, Keith, Travis, Kaitlin, Kelsey, Tyler, Sarah, Kristopher, Kassidi, Sarah, Christian, Aleyah, Jayda, Jacob, Gracie, Noah, Isaiah; and her six great-grandchildren and counting: Mackenzie, Kiah, Leeland, Harley, Bentley, and Chloe.
Paula was part of the Daybreak Church family in Mechanicsburg and a member of the Red Hat Society . She had many friends and liked to stay active; whether camping, gardening, crocheting, playing the organ, taking pictures, or experimenting with recipes and trying them out on her children. Paula thought that food was the language of love; and she prepared special dishes for each family member in her beloved new kitchen. Her favorite television shows were Little House on the Prairie and The Waltons . Paula was a woman of quiet faith and she was “mom” to everyone who knew her.
All are welcome to join Paula’s family at memorial service on Monday, May 18, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Daybreak Church , 321 Gettysburg Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Pastor Ronald O’Neil officiating. Paula’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at her church following the service.
