Peggy Ann (Wertz) Hopple, age 78, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019.  Peggy was born on Sunday, January 12, 1941, in Mechanicsburg to the late Richard Wilbur Wertz, Sr. and Olive Pearl (Gates) Wertz Myers.

Peggy’s survivors include her husband of 60 years, Gordon Keith Hopple, Sr.; her children: Gordon “Keith” Keith Hopple, Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Carlisle, Mark Benjamin Hopple and his wife, Sarah, of Mechanicsburg, Christine Elizabeth Copeland and her husband, Kent “Rusty”, of Cambodia; her nine grandchildren; her three great-grandchildren; her two siblings: Richard Wilbur Wertz, Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Duncannon, Karen Fox and her husband, Joseph, of Yardley; and several nieces and nephews.

Peggy was a homemaker who also served outside the home as a telemarketer and cafeteria aide.  She was a member of Immanuel Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Mechanicsburg and an active volunteer with various charities.

All are welcome to join Peggy’s family at her funeral service on Friday, June 21, 2019, at 2:15 p.m. at Immanuel Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 800 South Market Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Reverend Steve Wiggins officiating.  Peggy’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at her church immediately after the service.  Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery. Honored to be pallbearers are: Keith Hopple, Mark Hopple, Brian Hopple, Chad Hopple, David Hopple, and Dylan Hopple.
