Penny Lynn Marie (Amos) LaRose, age 50, of Mechanicsburg , died at home and surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 2, 2015. Penny was born on Thursday, June 18, 1964 in Stubenville, Ohio to the late Thomas Delano Amos and Karen Lynn (Bates) Ashby.
Penny’s survivors include her loving husband of nearly 25 years, Leo Gene LaRose; her four children and three grandchildren: Dallas James LaRose and his wife, Charlotte, of Harrisburg, Ashley Marie LaRose and her fiancé, Ghussan, of Vermont, Megan Leigh Clodgo and her husband, Kristopher, and their children: Aliyah, Connor, and Jacob, all of North Carolina, Amanda Mae LaRose and her husband, Brendan, of Mechanicsburg; her mom, Patsy Amos; her five siblings: Jimmy Cole and his wife, Kathy, Peggy Smith and her husband, Michael, Tammy Chalk, Renee Hardy, Sandra Daugherty and her husband, Bill; her three brothers-in-law: Gary LaRose, Dennis LaRose, Kelly LaRose; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Penny loved all things gardening and was an amazing cook. She was a woman of strong will and a sharp tongue. A person who loved completely, Penny would treat everyone like family and never had her fill of caring for and helping others. She never complained about the challenges she faced in life and she truly lived life with no regrets. Above all, Penny loved her family and she will be forever loved and missed greatly.
All are welcome to join Penny’s family at her viewing on Monday, May 4, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Pastor Ken Thompson officiating. Honored to be pallbearers are: Dallas LaRose, Brendan Tracy, Megan Clodgo, Kris Clodgo, Gary LaRose, and Dennis Buck. Cremation will be private.
