Pi Yung “June” (Lin) Runey
Pi Yung “June” (Lin) Runey, age 84, of Mechanicsburg, died at Harrisburg Hospital on Thursday, December 21, 2017. June was born on Saturday, December 16, 1933 in Hualien, Taiwan to the late Lin the Wang and Lee Ar Jong. June was the widow of William “Bill” Edward Byron Runey, who died on June 25, 1990.
June’s survivors include her son, Timothy “Tim” Runey of Mechanicsburg; her grandson, Zachary “Zach” Myers of Camp Hill; and her great granddaughter, Kylie Mills; and several nieces and nephews.
June was a devout Buddhist and lived her life with grace and kindness. She was often described with the words: loving, giving, caring, thoughtful, classy, reserved, and tenacious. An extremely intelligent woman she spoke four languages fluently. June was a family oriented person and was devoted to those she loved. She will be forever missed and her memory will be cherished.
All are welcome to join June’s family at her graveside service on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, starting at 9:00 a.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA. Those attending are asked to arrive at the line up area behind the cemetery office at 8:45 a.m. Cremation was private.
