Quentin “Fritz” L. Fretz, 95, of Mechanicsburg , PA and formerly of Boynton Beach, FL and Ambler, PA , died at Harrisburg Hospital on Sunday, May 24, 2015. Quentin was born on Friday, October 24, 1919 in Bernville, PA to the late John Miller Fretz and Estella Alberta (Winters) Fretz.
Quentin’s survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Dorothy (Gressang) Fretz; his children: Sandra “Sandie” L. Ressler and her husband, William, of Dillsburg, Kenneth “Kenny” L. Fretz and his wife, Kathy, of Delaware; his five grandchildren: W. Scott Ressler, Rebecca Lucas, Lauren Carrasco, Stephanie Fretz, Alicia Fretz; and his four great-grandchildren: Megan, Luke, Desmond, Keller, and one on the way.
Quentin was a retired tool and die maker. He attended Messiah Village Chapel in Mechanicsburg. Quentin had many interests; including music, and especially playing the cornet, singing duets with his wife, and square dancing. He loved to have fun playing cards, games, boating, golfing, and playing with his “toys.” Quentin was so handy and clever that his family says he could make anything, and he was a great vegetable gardener. Most of all, his family remembers Quentin as generous and loving.
All are welcome to join Quentin’s family at his funeral service on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.; and his closing ceremony and visitation at 3:30 p.m. at Messiah Village Chapel, 100 Mount Allen Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Reverend Terry A. Rose officiating. Private burial will take place in Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Ambler, PA.
