Randall “Randy” Lee Lynn, age 56, of East Waterford, and formerly of Mechanicsburg, passed away with his loving family by his side on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Randy was born on Sunday, May 23, 1965, in Mechanicsburg to the late Randall Edward Lynn and Ada Jane (Zimmerman) Lynn. In addition to his parents, Randy is preceded in death by his son, Jason Lynn, and his sister, Nina Marie Tobery.
Randy’s survivors include his companion: Heather Bickle of East Waterford; the mother of his children: Jennifer Marie (Wilson) Lynn of Carlisle; his children: Chris Lynn of Mechanicsburg and Samantha Lynn of Carlisle; his granddaughter: Carter Marie Lynn; his two siblings: Victor “Vic” Lynn and wife, Melainie, of Ickesburg and Kathy Scheffler of New Bloomfield; several nieces and nephews; and his three beloved kitties: Frankie, Pepper and Winnie.
Randy graduated from Mechanicsburg High School as part of the class of 1985. He was employed by DHL Supply Chain in Mechanicsburg as a forklift operator and tasker for 35 years. Randy was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and riding his ATV through the countryside. He loved going places and would travel anywhere. Randy was a fan of NFL football, especially the New England Patriots, a NASCAR fan, whose favorite driver was, Jeff Gordon; and a dirt track racing fan, who preferred watching the winged sprint cars. Randy treated everyone he met like they were his family. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
All are welcome to join Randy’s family at his viewing on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at 5:00 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Reverend Dr. Dennis Keller officiating. Randy’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Buhrig’s Gathering Place (next to the funeral home) immediately following the service. Cremation was private.
