Raymond “Ray” Lee Seiler

A Loving Caregiver -

Raymond “Ray” Lee Seiler, 54, of Mechanicsburg , died at home and unexpectedly on Sunday, February 10, 2013.  He was born in Harrisburg, on Wednesday, November 5, 1958, son of the late Lester Wayne Seiler, Sr. and Angeline (Frank) Seiler.

Ray’s survivors include his sister, Barbara “Barb” Jean Cooke and her husband Chuck of Indiana; his brother, Lester Wayne Seiler, Jr. of Mechanicsburg; his sister-in-law, Mary Stillions of Harrisburg; one niece; and six nephews.  Among those preceding Ray in death are his brother, Paul Stillions.

Ray graduated from Mechanicsburg High School .  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg.  Ray was a full-time caregiver for each of his parents and for his brother, Wayne.  He and his brother loved to watch professional wrestling together.  Ray enjoyed Penn State Football and often referred to the Steelers as “his team”.  He found great joy in watching comedy movies and TV shows, especially the Three Stooges, Billy Bob Thornton and Will Farrell.

All are welcome to join Ray’s family at his viewing on Friday, February 22, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at 11:00 at St. Joseph Catholic Church , 400 East Simpson Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Rev. Louis P. Ogden celebrating.  Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Mechanicsburg.  Ray’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at the American Legion Post #109 in Mechanicsburg following the burial.

The family suggests memorial contributions to The ARC of Cumberland & Perry Counties , Attn: Community Developer, 71 Ashland Avenue, Carlisle, PA 17013, who has helped his brother, Wayne, for so many years.
