Richard Joseph Gustin, Jr., age 60, of York , died at his cousin’s home in Enola on Thursday, June 12, 2014.  Richard was born on Friday, October 2, 1953 in Harrisburg, PA.

Richard’s survivors include his wife, Karen Sue (Thomas) Gustin, whom he married on December 4, 1994; his daughter, Lisa Thomas Gustin of York; his father, Richard Gustin of Harrisburg and formerly of Enhaut; his mother, Helen Gustin of Englewood, FL; his four siblings, Patricia “Patti” Gustin-Yanich and her husband Ted of Etters, Gregory Gustin and his wife Bobbie Jo of New Cumberland, Christine Johnson and her husband Douglas of Harrisburg, Joseph Gustin and his wife Mary of Lewisberry; and several nieces and nephews.

Richard grew up in Enhaut and attended St. John Neuman grade school and CD East High School.   He had various jobs throughout his life, including working at Bethlehem Steel and Caterpillar. Richard’s  main career was as an owner/ operator truck driver. He enjoyed attending auctions and estate sales. Richard raised many animals over the years. He has three chihuahuas at home now, "Butchie", "Foxy", and "Lelo".
Richard’s biggest joy was spending time at his home in York with his wife, Karen and daughter, Lisa. He loved his wife, Karen and his daughter, Lisa very much.  The other great love Richard had was for his mother, Helen Gustin.  We wish her and his family peace and extend our greatest sympathies. Richard will be missed by his family and friends. He will remain alive in our memories, thoughts and prayers. May his memory be eternal and his soul rest in peace.

All are welcome to join Richard’s family at his Time of Farewell on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; and at his Graveside Service on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA, where military honors will be presented.  Richard’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship immediately following the burial.
