Richard “Rick” Wayne Reisser, 66, of Mechanicsburg , died at Holy Spirit Hospital on Sunday, June 23, 2013. He was born in Harrisburg on Thursday, March 6, 1947, son of Mary Ellen (Miller) Reiners and the late John Donald Reisser. Rick was the husband of Patricia Ann (McKissick) Reisser whom he married on September 24, 1988.
Rick’s survivors include his loving wife, Patricia; his daughter, Kimberly Broadley and her husband James of MO; his sons, Erik Reisser of Mechanicsburg, Andrew Reisser of NJ; his mother, Mary Ellen Reiners of Mechanicsburg; his brother, Frank Reisser and his wife Patrice of Landisburg; his seven grandchildren, Kylie, Devon, Ian, Tia, Adriana, Aidan, Adlai; his great-grandson, James; and his niece, Ashley.
Rick graduated from John Harris High School as part of the class of 1965. He retired from C.F. Acri and Son in Harrisburg, after more than 30 years of service working as a plumber. Rick was a member of AMVETS, American Legion, and VFW . He was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. Rick loved hunting for treasures at the beach using his metal detector. He took great pleasure in making people laugh, playing cards, and watching old movies. For all those who knew and loved Rick, he leaves behind memories of his hard work, integrity, patriotic spirit and lasting friendships.
All are welcome to join Rick’s family at his graveside memorial service on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 10:00 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery , Annville, PA 17003, where military honors will be presented. Cremation was private. Rick’s family invites everyone to join them for a reception at Carlisle Country Club , 1242 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle, PA 17013, following the interment.
