Richard “Dick” Martin Price, 64, of Mechanicsburg , died at Holy Spirit Hospital on Saturday, March 9, 2013, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio, on Sunday, December 19, 1948, son of the late Max Price and Jeanette (Martin) Price. Dick was the husband of his high school sweetheart, Gail Kathryn (Baldwin) Price, whom he married on September 18, 1971, and to whom he was married for 42 years before his passing.
Dick is also survived by his loving children, Jessica Price Kazmaier and her husband Christopher of Mechanicsburg, Jeffrey Daniel Price and his wife Lauren of Harrisburg; his sister, Ellen Baldwin of New York; and his two grand-dogs, Niles and Koopa. Among those preceding Dick in death are his daughter, Rebecca Suzanne Price; his brother, John Price; and his two sisters, Patricia Tyrrell, and Beth Baldwin.
Dick graduated from Union College in New York in 1971. He retired from the finance and banking industry in 1996. Dick was a brilliant man who loved to read, especially about American History. He took great joy in playing and watching sports, especially the Steelers and Red Sox . Dick loved to golf and spent many years coaching youth baseball. He later developed a fondness for cooking and gardening. Dick was a great family man who enjoyed his wife and children more than anything. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
The family will be honoring Dick and celebrating his life with private services. Cremation was private.
