Robert "Bob" Jay DeMartyn, Jr.

Robert “Bob” Jay DeMartyn, Jr., age 79, of Mechanicsburg, died on Saturday, February 8, 2025. Bob was born on Tuesday, December 25, 1945, in Harrisburg to the late Robert Jay DeMartyn, Sr. and Martha Ruth (Bell) DeMartyn. 

Bob’s survivors include his two siblings: Susann DeMartyn Madara and husband, James of Allentown, David Edward DeMartyn of Enola; and his nephew: Christopher James Madara of Emmaus. 

Bob attended Cumberland Valley High School and Harrisburg Area Community College. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1962 - 1966. Bob retired from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America after 38 years working as a Journeyman. He attended Green Street Church of God and was a member of American Legion Post 109 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post 6704. Bob found enjoyment in watching Westerns on TV. He will be dearly missed by all those fortunate to have been in his life.
