Robert “Big Bob” James Santo, 70, of Enola died at home on Saturday, March 31, 2012. He was born in Enola on Saturday, September 29, 1941 son of the late Frank and Helen (Single) Santo. Robert was the husband of Marilyn (Weiss) Santo who he married on July 6, 1973.

Robert was a truck driver for Hempt Brothers , Mechanicsburg for over 20 years and was also an independent truck driver. He was an honest and very hard working man.

Robert’s survivors include his loving wife of 38 years: Marilyn (Weiss) Santo; children: Prinny Bruckhart and husband Frank of Etters; Patricia Santo of Enola; Robert Gehrke and wife Patricia of Marysville; Randy Gehrke and wife Kelly of Shermans Dale; a brother Daniel Wheeler of Avoca, NY; 13 grandchildren: Amanda Gehrke, Robert Jr. Gehrke, Matthew Gehrke, Troy Gehrke, Colton Gehrke, Colby Gehrke, Tiffany Gehrke, Randy Jr. Gehrke, Dalis Gehrke, Adam Gehrke, Steve Bruckhart, Shane Bruckhart and Melissa Bruckhart; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by a son Lloyd Gehrke and a brother Theodore Wheeler.

All are welcome to join Robert’s family at his viewing on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, from 10:00 until time of service at 11:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA, 17055 with Pastor Tom Graham officiating. Burial will immediately follow in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Enola.
