Robert “Bob” Arthur Becker, age 53, of Mechanicsburg , and formerly of Milroy , died peacefully at home on Thursday, June 19, 2014. Bob was born on Monday, August 15, 1960 in Chicopee, MA to the late Barry Keith Becker and Linda May (Peiffer) Becker who survives him.
Bob’s survivors include his loving mother, Linda May (Peiffer) Becker, of Mechanicsburg; his sisters: Sandra May Ganoe and her husband, John, of Carlisle, Sharon Jean Williams and her husband, Wayne, of Duncannon; his daughters: Jennifer Lynn Becker of Burnham, Bobbi Jo Becker of Lewistown, Mikayla Beth Niemi of East Berlin; and several nieces and nephews.
Bob attended Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School as part of the class of 1978. He later graduated at the top of his class from MTA Driving Academy in Middletown. Bob was a tractor-trailer owner/operator for many years and then, more recently, drove for Shaffer Trucking . Prior to becoming a driver, he was a dock foreman for Overhead Door in Lewistown. Bob enjoyed shooting and was an ardent online gamer. He possessed a great mechanical aptitude; he could figure out and fix almost anything.
