Robert “Bob” Adrian Hall
Robert Adrian Hall, 80 years old, went to Heaven peacefully on November 13, 2020 under the fantastic care of the staff at Messiah Lifeways at Messiah Village.
Bob was born on February 4, 1940 in Trenton, NJ, son of the late Charles Ernest and Eleanor (Bope) Hall. He graduated from Vincentian Institute, Albany, NY and received both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. He was a member of Phi Kappa Theta fraternity.
He is predeceased by his loving wife Judith Fowler Hall. Survivors include his three daughters Sandra Snowden (John), Karen Artz (Peter, Jr.), and Amy Bell (Brendan, Sr.); five grandchildren Daniel and Ana Snowden, Kayleigh Kelly (Richard, Jr.), Paul Artz, and Brendan Bell, Jr.; siblings C. Ernest Hall (Jaclyn, deceased), Elizabeth Plewes (Thomas), Mary Ellen Virost (Richard), and sister-in-law Janice Taylor (Bruce).
His family and friends were by far his greatest enjoyments, especially annual extended family vacations.
Bob was a long-time member of Pine Street Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg, PA where he served as an ordained Deacon and Elder. He was also an active member of the Discovery Sunday school class.
After ROTC training at RPI, he went on to serve in the US Army Corps of Engineers. He followed in his father’s footsteps being employed by the Federal Highway Administration his entire career. He worked in Augusta, ME, Richmond, VA, Albany, NY, Washington, DC, and Harrisburg, PA, retiring after 38 years.
A private time of remembrance and gathering will be held at a later date.
