Robert “Bob” Wesley Kraly, 93, of Mechanicsburg , died at Forest Park Health Center , Carlisle, on Monday, June 25, 2012. He was born in Landisburg on Wednesday, November 27, 1918, son of the late Joseph Kraly and Cora Jane (Greger) Kraly. Bob was the widower of Mildred Catherine (Foltz) Kraly to whom he was married for 49 years.
Bob graduated from Mechanicsburg High School as part of the class of 1938. He, along with his wife, owned and operated Kraly’s Senior Citizens Homes for 32 years. Bob was a member of River of God Church in Enola. He also worked at McMillen’s Feed Mill in Lemoyne. In his younger years Bob was a very proud farmer. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, making his own applesauce and apple butter, and canning fruit from his fruit trees. Bob traveled extensively with his wife.
Bob’s survivors include his loving daughter, Arlene Neumyer and her husband George Lampman of Mechanicsburg; his son, Bruce Wagner of Enola; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; a foster son, Jeffrey Witmer; sister-in-laws, Ethel Luther and Golda Folz; and several nieces and nephews. Among those preceding Bob in death are two sons, David and Donald Wagner; one daughter, Shirley Zook; two grandsons, William and Robert Neumyer, and 11 brothers and sisters, John Kraly, Frederick Kraly, George Kraly, James Kraly, Harry Kraly, Amy Kraly Flickinger, Lula Kraly, Rose Kraly Myers, Charlotte Kraly Gutshall, Erma Kraly Gutshall, and Mary Kraly Cline.
All are welcome to join Bob’s family at his viewing on Saturday, June 30, 2012, from 1:00 until the time of service at 2:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with his grandson, Pastor Phillip M. Zook, officiating. Burial will immediately follow in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery (Stone Church) in Enola.
