Robert “Bob” Arthur Moore, Sr., age 79, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of New York City, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 3, 2018.  Bob was born on Monday, January 23, 1939 in Bronx, NY to the late Arthur Moore and Elizabeth (Scott) Moore DeMateo.  In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by daughter, Theresa Marie Moore.

Bob’s survivors include his wife of 48 years, Linda Rose (Soricelli) Moore; his two children: Robert “Rob” Arthur Moore, Jr. of Medford, NY, Justina “Jay” Lynn Saladino of Mechanicsburg; and his four grandchildren: Emily, Jacob, Marisa, and Justin.

Bob graduated from St. Raymond High School for Boys as part of the class of 1948.  He retired from AT&T in New York City, after 35 years of service as a supply distributor.  Bob was very athletic and had a passion for sports.  He loved bowling and playing softball, but his favorite sport was basketball.  Bob was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees, Rangers, Giants, and Knicks.  He enjoyed having a great cup of coffee and watching television programs from the 60’s and 70’s.  Bob’s favorite place to visit was Walt Disney World.  No matter how busy he got, Bob always kept his car clean and was even well known how immaculate he kept it.  Bob’s greatest joy was watching his grandsons play baseball and attending his grandchildren’s other activities.

Bob’s family will be remembering his life privately.  Cremation was private.
