Robert “Bobby” T. Williams
World War II Veteran -
Robert T. Williams, known to his good friends as “Bobby”, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. He was born on Sunday, December 12, 1920 and was the widower of Carula Irene (Lugar) Williams.
Bobby proudly served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He retired from the Mechanicsburg Navy Depot Fleet Material Support Office in 1978. Bobby was a member of Miles Memorial United Methodist Church in Norfolk, VA. He was a member of the Mechanicsburg Club, life member of VFW Post #7530 in Mechanicsburg, and life member of the American Legion Post #109 in Mechanicsburg.
All are welcome at Bobby’s viewing on Saturday, May 14, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. until time of closing at 2:00 p.m. at Diuguid Funeral Service & Crematory, 21914 Timberlake Road, Lynchburg, VA 25402. Burial will follow in Virginia Memorial Park in Forest, VA.
