Rosanna “Rosie” Estella Cook
Bright Eyes & Big Smile -
Rosanna “Rosie” Estella Cook, age 31, of Harrisburg, and formerly of Mechanicsburg, lost her battle with addiction on Friday, October 5, 2018, after a valiant fight to break the destructive cycle of addiction which hijacked periods of her beautiful and promising life. Rosie was born on Saturday, October 18, 1986 in Harrisburg and she is preceded in death by her grandfathers.
Rosie’s survivors include her parents: Brett Michael Cook, Sr. and Tammy Lou (Leedy) Cook; her two beautiful daughters: Ella and Skyla; her four siblings: Christopher Michael Cook and his wife, Allyson, Stephanie Lynn Cook, Amie Jo Ettinger and her husband, Erin, Brett Michael Cook, Jr. and his wife, Becky; her paternal grandmother, Estella Mae Cook; her maternal grandmother, Wanda Lou Fuhrman; and her ten nieces and nephews.
Rosie graduated from Cedar Cliff High School as part of the class of 2005. With her bright eyes and big smile, she was easy going and likable with a loving and caring heart what was often described as sweet. Rosie loved life and had a corky and fun energy that made her fun to be around. In fact, anytime that Rosie entered a room where her nieces and nephews were they would flock to her with smiles beaming and children’s voices yelling her name. Rosie adored her two girls who were her life and sunshine. They loved playing, swimming and laughing together. Rosie loved to share videos of the three of them as they filled each other’s lives with love and smiles and Rosie dreamed about sharing her love of the beach with them when they were able to make the trip for the first time. The girls would smile and sing along as Rosie sang “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” and “You are My Sunshine” to them. There is no doubt that the best of Rosie lives in her daughters and that her spirit will live on in them. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
