Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Sister -
Rose Marie (Nees) Koth, 74, of Mechanicsburg, died peacefully at home on Monday, June 20, 2016. Rose was born on Monday, January 12, 1942 in Middletown PA to the late Bernard Ludwig Nees and Theresa Kathryn (Bolbecher) Nees. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Ludwig Nees of Kellogg, Idaho, and her sister Lois Misiti of Hanover.
Rose is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert Will Koth; her two children: Dorothy Whelan and her husband, Joe, of Camp Hill, Will Koth and his wife, Beth Wasden, of Laurel, DE; her two grandchildren: Robbie and Maria Whelan; her three sisters: Kathryn Louise Wentzel of Newport, Mary Elizabeth Philler and her husband, Bill, of Goodview, VA, Theresa Jo Fogle and her husband, Jerry, of Walkersville, MD; sister-in- law Mary (Koth) Lutton and her husband, William, of Toms River, NJ; and her nine nieces and nephews.
Rose was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy of Columbia PA. She worked for American Airlines in Middletown and at the Dauphin County Courthouse in Harrisburg. Rose retired from the Internal Revenue Service, after 25 years, working in both the Harrisburg and York offices. Rose enjoyed her summers in Millsboro, DE; where she enjoyed hosting family reunions. Her winters and final days were spent at home on the South Mountain, where she enjoyed the wildlife and time in her craft room.
There will be no viewing or traditional funeral service. Rose requested a family and friend party be held later this summer. Details will follow. Cremation was private.
