Roxanne Rosalyn (Wolfgang) Alleman, 69, of Mechanicsburg , died at Holy Spirit Hospital on Monday, December 16, 2013. She was born in Valley View, on Friday, August 11, 1944, daughter of Mae Arlene (Wolfgang) Walkinshaw of Williamstown and the late Mark “Schooner” Walkinshaw.
Roxanne’s survivors include her loving children, Robyn Nolen of Mechanicsburg, Rick Nolen and his wife Janice of South Easton, MA, Shauna Garcia and her husband Jeremias of Palmyra, Mandie McAdams of Mechanicsburg; her mother, Mae; grandchildren, Jarrod, Brooke, Zakary, Sydney, Joshua, Jordyn and Kaia; and great-grandson, Hunter; a sister, Bonita Hawk of Elizabethtown; and several nieces and nephews. Among those preceding Roxanne in death is a great-grandson, Riley.
Roxanne retired from the Pennsylvania State Police serving as a finger print technician supervisor. She was an avid avian enthusiast. Roxanne loved her grandchildren, the mountains, and camping. She enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean Islands and appreciated its culture. Roxanne had a great sense of humor. She liked going to the movies, cooking for family gatherings, and listening to Elvis and reggae music.
All are welcome to join Roxanne’s family at her Gathering of Family and Friends on Saturday, December 21, 2013, from 10:00 until time of service at 11:30 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Pastor Rob Stiem officiating. Cremation and burial will be private and at the family’s convenience.
Roxanne’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Myers-Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory immediately following the service.
