Roxanne Marie (Reynolds) Hernandez

Roxanne Marie (Reynolds) Hernandez, age 54, of Newville, died on Monday, December 4, 2023.  Roxanne was born on Thursday, July 17, 1969, in Harrisburg to Thomas Edward Reynolds and the late Louella Mae (Starner) Reynolds.  In addition to her mother, Roxanne is preceded in death by her brother, Michael Shawn Reynolds.

Roxanne’s survivors include her three children: Justin Reynolds and his wife, Nelli, of Mechanicsburg, Emily Reynolds and her partner, Jake Brandt, of Newville, Alex Hernandez and his partner, Sienna Napoleoni, of Steelton; her four grandchildren: Kimber, Paylin, Daphne, Wesley; her father, Thomas Reynolds of Mechanicsburg; and her sister: Lora Allen and her husband, John, of Harrisburg.

Roxanne graduated from Cumberland Valley High School as part of the class of 1987.  She was a genuine human being with a good sense of humor and a laugh that her loved ones will remember for years to come.  Roxanne could put a smile on anyone’s face.  She enjoyed kayaking, reading, music, and of course, eating chocolate.  Roxanne was an avid cinephile, and her favorite movies were ‘Blood in blood out’, the Harry Potter series, and the Twilight series.  Most of all, Roxanne loved being a grandmother and playing with her grandchildren.  She will be dearly missed by those fortunate enough to have known her.

All are welcome to join Roxanne’s family at her celebration of life open house and gathering of family and friends on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Buhrig’s Gathering Place, 25 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, (717) 766-3421 (next to Buhrig Funeral & Cremation).  Over 100 parking spaces are available; just look for the “Buhrig” parking signs in all of the parking lots.  Cremation was private.
