Always Saw the Silver Lining -

Rozetta “Rose” Mae (Nash) Fitzpatrick, age 82, of Mechanicsburg, went home peacefully while at home in Country Meadows on Tuesday, November 22, 2016.  Rose was born on Tuesday, May 22, 1934 in Bristol, Maine to the late Roland Nash and Mary (Creamer) Nash.  Rose was the widow of Donald Michael Fitzpatrick, whom she married on June 27, 1956, and who died on June 9, 2000.

Rose’s survivors include her two daughters: Suzanne Wiland and her husband, Bill, of Etters, Theresa Palson and her husband, Jim, of Duncannon; her granddaughter, Melissa Wiland; and her four great-grandchildren: Jordan, Kayla, Sophia, and Charlotte.

Rose always saw the silver lining in everything in life.  She had a beautiful smile which may explain why people felt comfortable around her and what allowed her to enjoy meeting and socializing with people.  Rose was a forever animal lover.  All in all, she was a loving and helpful person to both people and animals alike.  Her absence from this world leaves us with a little less love and kindness and she will be deeply missed.

All are welcome to join Rose’s family at her viewing on Monday, November 28, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant George Spangler officiating.  Cremation and scattering will be private and at the convenience of the family.

The family sends their most heartfelt thanks to everyone at Country Meadows in Camp Hill who so lovingly cared for Rose during her residency.  Contributions in celebration of Rose’s life can be made to Alzheimer’s Association - Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

Rose’s family has entrusted her care to Myers – Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory in Mechanicsburg, (717) 766-3421.  Read Rose’s full obituary, view her memorial video and portrait, and sign her official guest book at Buhrig.com .
