Ruth Anne (Cressler) Wrightstone, 72, of Harrisburg and formerly of New Cumberland died at Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice on Monday, May 14, 2012.  She was born in Harrisburg on Wednesday, July 19, 1939, daughter of the late Daniel Stuart Cressler and Rose A. (Lauck) Cressler.  Ruth was the widow of Monroe Harvey Wrightstone, Jr. who she married on February 18, 1968 and who died on January 2, 1984.

Ruth was an amazingly loving and caring person who would do anything for anyone.  She nurtured her family, who were her whole life.  Ruth adored her grandchildren and was “a great mother.”

Ruth’s survivors include her four loving children: Debra Ann Licon and her fiancé David of New Cumberland, Judy Lynn Wrightstone and her husband Preston of Mechanicsburg, Jeffrey Allen Wrightstone and his wife Donna of Florida, Barbara Carricato and her husband Bryan; her eight brothers: Daniel, Charles, Carl, Richard, Joe, Clarence, John and Barry; her three sisters: Doris, Eva, Jane; four grandsons; seven granddaughters; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  Among those preceding Ruth in death is her brother: Gene Cressler.

All are welcome to join Ruth’s family at her viewing on Friday, May 18, 2012, from 10:00 until time of service at 12:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, 17055, with Pastor Alan Echard officiating.  Burial will immediately follow in Rolling Green Memorial Park in Camp Hill.  Honored to be pallbearers are: Preston, Dave, Steven, Greg, Todd and Gregory.  Ruth’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Hoss’s Steak and Sea House , 61 Gettysburg Pike, Mechanicsburg, following the burial.
