Sally (Lamb) Rigby, 83, of Mechanicsburg , died peacefully at home and surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 16, 2013. She was born in Middletown, OH, on Tuesday, January 28, 1930, daughter of the late George Charles Lamb and Marguerite (Reed) Lamb. Sally was a wonderful wife to her late husband Charles D. Rigby, Sr., who she lost to cancer on September 10, 1982.
Sally’s survivors include her loving children, Susan Conrad and her husband Richard of Doylestown and their sons Andrew and Justin, Craig Rigby of Mechanicsburg, Kenneth Rigby of Mechanicsburg and his daughter Alexandra, and Charles D. Rigby, Jr. and his wife Pamela of Mechanicsburg and their son Zachary; two nieces; and two nephews.
Sally graduated from Middletown High School in OH and from Colorado University . She lived in Antioch, IL before moving to Mechanicsburg. During retirement, Sally enjoyed her winters in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
All are welcome to join Sally’s family at her visitation on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 2:00 until time of service at 3:00 at Myers-Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Pastor Glenn “Woody” Dalton, Jr. officiating. Burial of her urn will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Mechanicsburg, PA. Cremation was private. Sally’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at her residence following the interment. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice.
